All I can say is holy crap that was unreal !! I went to a Rage Against the Machine concert nine years ago this month with my sister (my first concert ever), so it was truly an amazing thing to witness Tom Morello linked up with Chris Cornell from Soundgarden this many years later.

 

I went to the concert thinking that I was only going to hear Audioslave songs, but they took it to the next level and played some spoonman, black hole sun, a bulls on parade acoustic, and killing in the name of ... it honestly blew my mind. I mean, I've been to quite a few concerts over the past few years and seen alot of bands play their two or three good songs, mixed in with a bunch of crappy filler... so it was refreshing to actually be entertained for a solid two hours.

 

The two opening bands weren't anything to write home about. I'm convinced the lead singer of 30 Seconds to Mars is a flaming homosexual. He danced around wearing a gay-ass vest and even ran through the crowd thinking people actually cared about him... what a clueless loser. Seether was solid, nothing wrong with anything they did, but if you want to hear a guy who sounds exactly like Kurt Cobain... go buy their cd.

 

Ran into three of the members from State of Shock while at the concert, they sat a few rows infront of me. An awesome local band if you haven't heard of them before, they could have easily done a better job than 30 Seconds to Mars (But I probably could too! and all I would have needed was a kazoo and a microphone).
